Fab Academy 2020
If you could make almost anything, what would you do? That will be the first question that around 300 international students will face next January. The beginning of twenty breath taking weeks in a race to learn how to design and fabricate that thing.
The Fab Academy is a fast paced, hands-on learning experience where students learn rapid-prototyping by planning and executing a new project each week. The academy covers a broad range of digital fabrication processes, as well as supporting design and programming software. Students will have the opportunity to deep dive into each topic resulting in a personal portfolio of technical accomplishments.
Run as a distributed educational model, you’ll join students from across Korea and around the globe. All working on the same assignment and supporting each other through online content sharing and video for interactive classes.

This course is full time & runs from the 28th of January until June 21st.
Note lectures & evaluation are conducted in English.

디자인하고 만들어보는 20주 동안에 여정이 곧 시작됩니다.
팹아카데미는 빠르고 손 쉽게 매 주 새로운 프로젝트를 통해 배울 수 있는 기회입니다.
해당 교육과정은 디지털 제작 과정의 전반과 디자인, 프로그래밍 소프트웨어를 배울 수 있습니다. 각 과정의 기술을 배워서 본인의 포트폴리오로 가져 올 수 있습니다. 국내 뿐만 아니라 해외에 친구들과 함께 화상수업을 진행하며 같은 주제의 과제를 수행하고 서로의 프로젝트를 함께 해결해 나갑니다.

전 세계 40여 개국 80여개의 Fab Academy 운영기관과 MIT 간의 텔레컨퍼런스 시스템을 통해 동시 양방향 화상교육 진행
- 매 주 1회 대륙별 동시 양방향 텔레컨퍼런스 교육
아시아 팹랩 교육생 및 인스트럭터 간의 상호 과제 피드백 및 질의응답 진행
팹 아카데미 대륙별 최고 인스트럭터 및 타 팹랩 인스트럭터의 멘토링 제공
- 매 주 1회 해외 연사의 동시 양방향 텔레컨퍼런스 Recitation (특별강의) 제공
- 매 주 다른 주제와 연사의 특별강의 및 멘토링 제공됨
- 현장 실습 과제 및 프로젝트 수행
팹랩에 상주하는 전문 인스트럭터들(프로젝트 매니저)의 밀착지도 아래 특화된 실습교육과 과제수행, 팀별 프로젝트 및
개별 종합 프로젝트로 운영
- 개인 홈페이지를 구축하여 매주의 과제와 프로젝트 진행과정을 아카이브
- 수료 조건
1차 팹랩 인스트럭터 평가와 2차 타 팹랩 인스트럭터 평가 그리고 3차 평가위원의 평가기준을 모두 통과해야 수료가능
